ABOUT
Built in the mid-1700s, Leesburg, Virginia (VA), is the county seat of Loudoun County. It was home to some of Virginia’s most famous families during its long history, named for Thomas Lee, an ancestor of Robert E. Lee. Interestingly, in the War of 1812, it became the temporary seat of the United States government, as well as the temporary national archives. At one point, Leesburg was home to the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution!
